Dr. Steven Rehnblom
Dr. Steven Rehnblom and his wife Lori are from Rushmore, MN. They have called the Brainerd/Baxter lakes area home since 1994. Dr. Rehnblom received his undergraduate degree in 1985 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota in 1988. Dr. Rehnblom enjoys all areas of companion animal practice and has special interests in surgery, canine reproduction and dentistry. He and his wife have four children, Alicia, Collin, Kendra and Erica. His pets include a Papillion dog named Tia, a Rag Doll cat named Bianca, a barn cat named May, tropical fish and Koi as well as an Arabian gelding named Phenix, a Quarterhorse named Bo, two Donkeys and two Fainting Goats. In his spare time Dr. Rehnblom enjoys landscaping, woodworking, hunting and fishing.
Dr. Brent Henkes
Dr. Brent Henkes is from McGregor, Iowa. He received a B.A. degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Northern Iowa. He then went to obtain his D.V.M. degree from Iowa State University in 2003. Dr. Henkes has a special interest in small animal internal medicine and surgery. He spends free time with family and enjoying many outdoor pursuits, especially hunting and fishing. He lives with his wife Heidi, and sons, Reece, Karston and Braden. Dr. Henkes also enjoys spending time with his two dogs Billie and Grace, and two cats Smokey and Autumn.
Dr. Maryann Nelson
Dr. Maryann Nelson is from LeSueur, MN. She received a B.A. degree in biology from Gustavus Adolphus college in 1988. Dr. Nelson earned her DVM for the University of Minnesota in 1994. Dr Nelson has special interest in feline medicine and surgery. She and her husband Chris have two sons, Andy & Ben. Her pets include a dog, Sasha and a cat Romeo. Dr. Nelson enjoys spending time with family, doing outdoor activities, such as biking, hiking & fishing. She also enjoys gardening and gourmet cooking.
Dr. Kendall Sawyer
Dr Kendall Sawyer is from Mora MN. He received a B.S. degree in biology and a certificate in Bible from Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN in 2004. Dr. Sawyer earned his DVM degree from the University of Minnesota in 2008. Dr. Sawyer has special interests in surgery, ultrasound dentistry. He lives with his wife Katie (also a veterinarian), two weimaraners named Gunther & Gertie and a cat named Nota. In his free time, Dr. Sawyer enjoys camping, hunting, fishing, photography and playing volleyball. Kendall & Katie are looking forward to being new parents before the end of the year!
